In addition, the prototyped use cases shall also be of value for the countries who designed and provide these. For this purpose, we envision a person from the country (as a country representative or a dedicated proxy) to follow the use case through the different processing steps (Service Design, Generalization to Reference Use Case by PC, Sequencing by TC, Modelling and prototyping by Sandbox team) following the principles of collaboration and early involvement.
Prioritization
The country representative (or proxy) shall inform the partners about different options for prototypes and guide the focus of the prototype development based on the value proposition he/she sees for the country by prototyping the use case.
...
The prototypes could look like as follows:
Vertical prototype: Cover as much many process steps of the use case as possible but simplify steps or restrict possible user path ways pathways through the process (follow a guided “happy path” without every thinkable if/but derivation)
OR
Vertical focus: Cover all possible user paths (as much if/but derivations as possible) but restrict to a few selected process steps). This option includes the UI (frontend) and the functional BB layer (backend).
OR
Simulation (UI focusprototype): Cover as much many process steps of the use case on the wireframeUI via wireframes and/or frontend layer but do not add the backend/ functional BB layer (backend).
OR
Ugly truths:
BB prototype: Cover as many process steps of the use case with one BB application candidate. This option uses only the frontend and backend functionalities of one BB application (e.g. eRegistration by UNCTAD).
Current prioritization
Unconditional Social Cash Transfer (USCT) is being implemented in two versions with different focus
USCT Simulation (only Frontend)
USCT Vertical Prototype
For Online Construction Permit, we do plan for at least a simulation version.
Why is a focus needed?
With the given resources, it is impossible to implement a country use case in an end-to-end and fully functional manner (frontend + backend). Choosing a priority focus will be determined the value stream for the country to be engaged
Implementation
Phase 1: Business Analysis
Prerequisites:
Prioritization is defined (see above)
Fixed time box: 2 sprints (1 month)
Participants: UX Designer, Business Analyst, Country Representative
Deliverable: BPMN Diagram of the to-be-implemented use case steps (example: USCT MVP)
Phase 2: Development
Prerequisites:
BPMN Diagram
Needed(chosen) BB candidate applications integrated into the Sandbox environment
Fixed timebox: 4 sprints (2 months)
Participants: Multifunctional team inc Full Stack Developer, Analyst/ PM, Country Representative as the PO
Deliverable: Use Case Prototype according to the agreed prioritization. The functional scope is based on what the team can deliver in the given time box
