Aim of the Week:

This week serves as an introduction to GovStack's approach to accelerating the digital transformation of government services. Participants will be introduced to GovStack's Building Blocks (BBs) and the concept of implementing Enterprise Architecture practices in Digital Government (DG) as outlined in the Public Administration Ecosystem Reference Architecture (PAERA). Additionally, participants will engage in a critical thinking exercise to learn the systematic practice of applying PAERA at both government and organizational levels.

Independent work: Each participant is to review the documentation on PAERA & take the self-paced eLearning course GovStack 101 on Atingi in preparation for the lecture session on Wednesday the 16th of September 2024.

Lecture session: All groups are to participate in the lecture session for Week 1. The lecture session will include presentations from GovStack teams and sessions from guest lecturers as well.

Assignment

By the end of the week, participants should: 

  1. Within their teams: 

    1. Select & define a use case from their chosen country for further development based on its potential impact and relevance.

    2. Define the business objective: Identify the core citizen/business need the digital service is solving. 

    3. Identify the key stakeholders and public agencies involved in the service operations. 

    4. Map current technology stack.
