Visual description of the Digital Registry and Registration BB (Illustration 1 in Digital Registry BB version 1.0) modified and made clearer. Some additional changes discussed:

• Bi-directional communication channel between Registry BB and Registration BB through the back-office staff has been added. “Back office staff” icon solely connected to Registration BB needs to be removed.

• Addition of Event Bus for sharing information with other BB

• Members can put comments on the diagram on Confluence

@Dr. Bimal kumar walked the WG through a Registration workflow diagram. Some changes discussed were:

• There should be a bidirectional arrow between applicant and registrar

• Diagram flow to show communication of payment information to the applicant before payment of fees

• Back office staff is equated with registrar. This should reflect in the Terminology section

• There are certain conditional processes like third-party validation and payments. We may choose to depict these processes through a flowchart.

Clarificatory questions raised during the call:

• does accountability also include ability to audit?

• Should we address fraudulent transactions like impersonation etc in the Registration BB? We assume that all users are valid users; there are processes in place to verify user’s identity like OTP and verification of ID documents. An authentication layer in form of access management already exists for this purpose. There are different options for authentication, subject to implementer’s discretion.

NEXT STEPS:

• Members volunteer to finish the Key Digital Functionalities of Registration and Registry BB.

• After finishing Key Digital Functionalities, WG can start working on the next sections.
