IM does not forward information about the user on the request attributes level. X-Road does, but only if SOAP protocol is used.
But if the sender knows who a user is then it’s no problem to have information about the user in query parameters or in the payload. It’s a question of API design.

please check out this dependency. Messaging is making an assumption that IM will know the persons who sends message from outside to messaging bb. In my opinion, this must be an internal matter of the Messaging BB since IM deals bb/app to bb/app exchanges, it does not concern itself at individual person (user) level.
