GovStack Hompepage Simulation

We’d like to gather more insights on how the users are interacting with the simulation. That's why we decided collectively it would be a good option to integrate the simulation into the current GovStack homepage as a temporary solution.

Page content

One possible solution would be that we add only an additional section to the page “Our approach”.

Position the simulation section directly under the building block description, with its own h1 highlighted title “GovTest Simulation”.

The paragraph contains following text:

GovTest Simulation

The GovStack Use Case Simulation is based on a real-world scenario called "unconditional social cash transfer," although it takes place in a fictional government setting. It is an interactive simulation that showcases the utilisation of the Building Blocks and the Digital Impact Exchange.

The primary goal of GovStack is to remove obstacles in the development of sustainable digital public infrastructure and assist governments in creating user-centric digital services. By exploring this interactive use case simulation, you can gain a comprehensive understanding of how the building blocks operate. Unlike traditional approaches where governments often start from scratch, GovStack breaks this cycle by promoting the adoption of interoperable, and reusable building blocks to digitalize services.

Example of how it would look on the current GovStack Website

User Flow:

Page “Our approach” > User clicks on the button “Open Simulation” > separate browser window opens > User gets redirected automatically to the new tab

Design decision explanation:

To ensure seamless integration of the simulation, we aim to keep it as intuitive as possible by eliminating visual cues. Introducing a preview of the simulation could disrupt the current visual language of the GovStack Homepage.

The provided text is based on the example onboarding pages that we created for the user tests in April.

Placing the simulation right below the Building Block description proves beneficial in enhancing user comprehension, as this aspect was mentioned during the tests. Participants encountered difficulty in grasping this complex concept, so dedicating a subpage solely to the simulation may cause confusion.
