Changes to Product Committee

@Wes Brown

10 min

and (temp page)

Use this meeting to organize work around the products similar to how the TC organizes the work around the BBs

Proposed Agenda:

  • Selected Team Updates (2-3 teams per meeting)

    • Status update, active tasks, questions/comments

  • General Project Discussions

    • Discussions about priorities, processes, and concerns

Comments

  • Ramkumar: Focus on the “product” aspect of each of the teams

    • Don’t want to lose the focus on use cases

    • Wes: The use cases are the responsibility of a team which will also share updates here

    • Need to make sure that we don’t expect everyone to come to every meeting

    • Strategic decisions would be helpful to discuss in a setting like this

  • Nico: Much of the team activity is being done/tracked via emails. The PC could be the place to have these discussions in a more open space

  • Steve: Much of the work between teams seems disconnected, what can we do to get the teams to come to one place to have these discussions

  • Nico: It is not clear if the organizational changes which were agreed back in May are still being followed/supported

  • Ramkumar: Would be helpful (critical) to have the sandbox ready to show real-world (ish) implementation of GovStack

    • Also need to discuss with potential software solutions to become compliant (to one degree or another) with specific BBs

  • Steve: The PC could be a place where external groups that are interested in leveraging GovStack could connect (through Country Engagement teams) to discuss use cases (which could lead to technical activities)

  • Wes: Hearing lots of ideas for new Teams that should be created, which can then use the PC as the place for support/discussions

  • Wes: The PC will not be

Next Steps:

  • Agenda could include:

    • Team Discussions

      • What are you doing

      • What will you be doing

      • Any questions/discussions

    • Proposals for New Teams

  • Send email to broad GovStack community with changes and hope to get re-engagement

  • Next week:

    • 2 teams: Reference use cases and GovExchange (Steve)
