 The team briefly discussed the tasks assigned to the GIS Building Block and how we are expected to proceed according to our understanding of the kickoff events organized by ITU. However, because all meeting attendees are new to the process, the team decided to wait for further briefing and insights into the process from Ramkumar in the next meeting especially concerning items #3 anagenda lessonsbove agenda

• The team felt it would be helpful to see products that building groups from previous waves have produced to get an idea of what is supposed to be produced by the GIS BB.

• The team decided that the first step to prepare for the scoping exercise is to review existing specifications and work done by the ISO/TC 211 Committee for Geographic Information/Geomatics (90 standards published to date) and OGC Standards to avoid reinventing the wheel or duplicating efforts.

• The team agreed to move the weekly meeting to the middle of the week to ensure attendance by all team members
