Use Case Draft

  • presentation of the use case draft by Sarah

  • question about the use case’s sector: decided on the environment focus, can also be part of migration or conflict

  • Q by Wes: Differences in the steps of the structure of the use case. The steps are more about the roll-out rather than about the use case itself.

    • Sarah: A combination of the steps could be a solution.

    • Wes: Starting from step 8: What happens if there is an event and the cash release should be triggered? Can we provide guidance on the process?

    • Steve: Can we provide info on a HR-level? Could include BBs on e-learning, content management etc.

    • Taylor: Integration of the EWS into the use case. Step 2: Do we need GovStack BBs at this point, or would email communication suffice?

    • Sarah: How do we handle PM in the use cases?

    • Wes: Messaging BB could be used. Utilize the logic we used for other use cases.

  • Sarah will share the use case with GiveDirectly , who have implementation experience, to get further feedback.

  • Decision: It is not a digital-only use case

  • Comments in Gitbook are welcome, Deadline next week’s PC meeting

Tracking Use Cases: Use Case Discussions

Goals for the 23Q3 Publication

Identify potential use cases in each sector and find volunteers to analyze sectors and identify potential use cases

  • 10+ use cases

  • 3-4 sectors

  • Contributions from country and/or community of practice

  • Use cases from the priority sectors include: eTax, Disaster Management & Response - Digital Twin, Digitizing Chronic Disease Care/ Noncommunicable Diseases, School fees payment

  • working on 5 use cases, want to include them in the next release

  • Steve: Is there an option to better link the use cases to the country engagement activities?

    • Wes: High school certificate is one of the use cases that we engage with. Can be used for a future reference use case.

    • Yolanda shared the updated country dashboard. It gives an overview of current use cases in the countries.

    • Steve: GovStack’s objective is also scalability, how do we transfer this to our country engagement? Currently we only work on individual services with countries.

    • Yolanda: Some countries focus on services that span different ministries (Djibouti). Others have a particular need and collaborate with GovStack to fulfill these needs (e.g. digitalizing a specific service)

    • Steve: To prove that the BBs work across multiple use cases, we need to collaborate with the countries on multiple use cases.

    • Sainabou: What is the timeline for the Gambia e-learning use case?

    • Yolanda: Institutional and governance-level cooperation is crucial for successful implementation. The cooperation differs depending on the stages of implementation. We follow the structure of the country implementation playbook.
