2024-04-08 Governance Committee Meeting Notes

Mar 25, 2024

This meeting was cancelled due to the lack of priority discussions and members of Cohort 2 in attendance. The next GC meeting will be on April 1st, moderated by ITU but may be missing a number of people (GIZ and others) for the Easter holiday.

This page describes the GovStack meeting notes. We use this meeting page to both run the meeting and keep notes, actions and decisions.

To avoid long meeting where the current status of each report is read out, we ask all participants to read the links below before the meeting, add in any questions they may have and then ask them in the meeting. This will focus the meeting upon the questions, decisions and actions needed for greatest impact.

Cooperation GovStack + CDPI

All

  • @Jaume DUBOIS is organising an session as part of ID4Africa

  • @Sarah Fischer We need to have a clear understanding of GovStack USPs for international forums.

  • @Nele Leosk we decided in the last SC meeting that we will promote the European democratic principles. If we make a strategic decision it should be inline with our action plan.

  • @Eskandar, Hani ID3Africa is a popular event for ID, GovStack should attend. The session is co-organised by CDPI. GovStack should ensure that we are visible, our contribution is well presented and we involve other Euro partners. CDPUI session will talk about G2P connect. We should look at the agenda and see where we include speakers. We arent having an official partnership.

  • @Sarah Fischer it is good to sharpen the message that we want to be represented at events.

@Shukla, Ayush to look at the agenda again and ensure the representation at ID4Africa is appropriate. Sugest speakers, topics that should be mentioned.

Smart Africa Cooperation

  • @Eskandar, Hani In the meeting next we will learn where we are in the process.

  • @Eskandar, Hani WHO launched a global initiative on health at G20. There can be a collaboration with WHO. There will be a 2 day workshop in Geneva on DPI for health.
